The special forces command ( Turkish: Ozel Kuvvetler Komutanl?g? ), nicknamed Maroon Berets ( Turkish: Bordo Bereliler ) because of their distinctive service headgear, is a special operations unit of the Turkish armed forces, who four times won the competition of special forces of NATO Volunteers, regardless of industry, officers of the armed forces of Turkey after about 4 years of training period. Special forces is not subject to any of the three Turkish branches of TAF, receiving its orders directly from General staff of the Turkish Republic.
