What impact has the UN made in Uzbekistan? #Education
In the run up to the final review of the results(MDGs) achieved for the last 15 years, the UN family is working actively with the government and its partners in forming the sustainable vision for the country’s development beyond 2015. Among other priorities, education remains on top of the agenda. In view of the large scale collaboration already underway between the government and the UN, significant strides have been made in fulfilling the country’s need to raise the quality of primary and secondary education. On the threshold of the upcoming transition to the post-2015 era, introducing elements of sustainable development into the national education curriculum remains key, as noted by Krista Pikkat, the Head of the UNESCO Office in Tashkent
