Native American Culture Week

Uzbekistan welcomed Barbara Ornelas and Kenneth Duncan to celebrate Native American Culture Week August 22-30, 2013. On August 24, the exhibition “U.S.-Uzbekistan: Resonance of Cultures from Different Continents” opened at the Centre of National Arts. In collaboration with local artists, art critics, and the Craftsmen Association of Uzbekistan, the exhibit showcased work by four generations of Ornelas’ family. Duncan opened the event with flute music and chanting.
