Whenever an airplane departs the pilots usually retract the landing gear within the first 10 – 15 seconds after rotation. Somehow the crew of this Etihad Airbus A330 decided to do a sightseeing flight for the landing gear and retracted the gear two minutes after leaving the runway. Never seen this before and it looked very unfamiliar to see the landing gear being outside for suche a long time. At first I thought it was probably stuck.
Etihad operated two flights per day to Düsseldorf, both of them operated by an Airbus A330-200. This flight got an upgrad to an Airbus A330-300 due to increased capacity at the beginning of the holidays.
