National Spelling Bee Contest
On June 15, U.S. Embassy Tashkent hosted Uzbekistan’s first ever National Spelling Bee Contest. The contest provided Uzbek students with a unique opportunity to experience a spelling bee, a part of American culture. It also helped the participants improve their English skills and compete in a supportive, friendly environment. After 13 competitive rounds, the winner, Westminster University student Mokhinur Mutalova, officially became Uzbekistan’s best English-language speller. Big congrats to Mokhinur and other participants on a job well done!
