Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov faced off for the final time before the first bell – and they almost came to blows.
Former two-weight champion McGregor will bid to win back his lightweight belt in his first Octagon appearance for nearly two years when he takes on the current ruler in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
The pair have fired verbal attacks at each other since the fight was announced some weeks ago – but now the talking is over.
Earlier on Friday, Nurmagomedov was the first fighter from the card to step on the scales, weighing 155lb exactly.
McGregor followed suit, tipping the scales at 154.4lbs before the rivals came face to face at the ceremonial weigh-ins on Friday evening.
After staring each other down from a distance, McGregor aimed a kick at the champion and the pair had to be kept apart.
