Have you ever heard of the World Heritage List? Did you know that Uzbekistan houses a dozen historical sites that are registered by the UNESCO and are protected as the intangible heritage of the world? Most importantly, did you know that YOU have the opportunity and even a responsibility to participate in the preservation of your cultural and natural heritage? We have produced the following story on the history of the UNESCO’s World Heritage List and some of the historical sites of Uzbekistan that are now under the auspices of this global document!
