UNO Tashkent. The Inside Story. Children’s Parliament

UN in Uzbekistan is working with the government on implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), focusing particularly on improving the lives of children, their families and assists them in exercising their rights. The organization pays special attention to the most vulnerable children – girls, children from minority groups, children with special needs and those exposed to poverty. Most importantly, they involve children in the process, ensuring children’s voices are heard and that they are heard clearly. As the global community commemorates the 25th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child this year, we spoke to our colleagues from UN Children’s Fund to elaborate on the work carried out in Uzbekistan in this regard and beyond.
