As UN reflects on the progress achieved with regards to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) worldwide, raising the standards of living by improving the quality of life is a key factor in the process. While the countries continue their efforts to achieve nationalized targets before the deadline, the UN in Uzbekistan now stands in a very important process of facilitating the country in its path to sustainable development beyond 2015. Within the United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF), one of the areas the organization has helped the country to improve is the economic wellbeing of people in rural, urban as well as the Aral Sea areas of Uzbekistan.
