The U.S. Embassy in Tashkent brought one of America’s greatest musical traditions, bluegrass music, to Uzbekistan. The all-women American bluegrass band Della Mae performed at the Turkiston Palace in Tashkent on November 19, 2012. Bluegrass music is one of the most unique American forms of music. The concert in Tashkent featured joint performances with Uzbekistani musicians as well.
